Welcome to Ripcurl Lacrosse (est.2014) Ripcurl Lacrosse Program has been proud to give girls in the greater Sarasota Community the tools to progress to the next level while enjoying the road to success. Ripcurl Lacrosse is committed to developing girl's confidence, character, and passions through sports and team experiences. Girls will create friendships and bond over hard work, dedication and fun times. We offer a competitive TRAVEL TEAM and a Nontravel Developmental Program for ALL ages.  Lacrosse is new to Florida yet we have former Ripcurl Girls playing in college

At Ripcurl Lacrosse we believe in community service hours and offer this opportunity to interested High School players in the form of coaching in our non travel program. What: Ripcurl participates in a recreational season that participates in a league-wide competitive season.  Two practices each week. 6 Saturday morning 7v7 games ranging in distance from St. Pete to Manatee. 2 Jamborees.  WE need 15+ players to have a team.

When: Monday and Wednesday


Where: Sarasota High School

Register: U10 - $350


Spring Lacrosse 2019 - U8

U8 Spring Lacrosse

Who: U8  February 8 First Practice

What: Saturday morning practices. Learn the skills of lacrosse. Ripcurl has sticks to lend out.    

When:Saturday 9:30 - 10:30am

Time to put it together!  Elevate your skills and game sense!!!  Due to the many new High School sanctioned lacrosse teams in the area... Ripcurl is going to cater to the needs of the individual player this Fall.  We are NOW putting a group of 15 players together for lacrosse fundamentals, speed work, and game scenarios.  We will do solid drills and and conclude with small scrimmages.  Coached by Ashley McCleod, Christiana Walker,Haines Duff, and  Heather Chase O'Neill


Elite Training Fall 3

What: 1.5 hour sessions : 12 sessions

When: October 24th - December 15th

Day/Time: Thursday  6-7:30pm and

Sunday 5-6:30pm

Policy and Procedures

Non Refund Policy

A valid US lacrosse membership is required to complete registration. Purchase one at uslacrosse.org

Once you select to play for Ripcurl, your deposit in non-refundable.  Payment must be made in FULL.  

A player WILL NOT be able to participate until payment in received.  If there is a waiting list, the spot will be offered to someone else, and you will forfeit your deposit.  

Travel Team Tips

Families,  You are responsible for the travel of your player to tournaments. Sometimes a 1 or 2 night accommodations will be required additional monies needed for food and optional tournament merchandise.  All tournament fees are paid by Ripcurl unless other wise stated at registration.  Another choice is to Buddy-Parent.  This is when you choose to travel with a friend's parent who is solely responsible for you.  It is your responsibility to arrange this.

Tournament Expectations and Sportsmanship

  • Players will be expected to show up to practices and tournaments on time.

  • Equal playing time is NOT guaranted.  Missing practices and poor sportsmanship will effect playing time.

  • We will NOT discuss playing time with parents.  This is a responsibility of the player and will be discussed in a player / coach conversation.

  • Players expected to pick up their trash and leave the team area as found or better.

  • Players expected to help set up and break down team areas.

  • Players expected to get adequate sleep, fluids, and eating healthy.

  • Offensive language by players or parents will not be tolerated by the Ripcurl Program.  players or parents

Recruiting Thoughts

  • Check out the recruiting rules at NCAA website.

  • Videos of games are often offered through video services at tournaments.

  • Make a highlight video and put it on youtube.com. 2 -3 minutes.  Send to colleges.

  • Players should email college coaches two weeks and then 5 days before a tournament inviting them to watch you play.

  • Keep your social media kind and boring.  

  • Google D1, D2, D3 programs to see the different levels of commitment.
