What is the time commitment if my daughter makes the travel team?

Lacrosse is a TEAM sport. To be fair to other teammates and to ensure development of the team, player attendance is required to all events. We understand there are family weddings, religious events, and other commitments that players will have to miss lacrosse to attend. These will be viewed as excused absences with prior notice to the coaches. However, playing another club sport 80% of the time and coming to one Ripcurl event will not be allowed. This is unfair to the coaches and teammates. Additionally, players who are not committed to playing for Ripcurl will take up valuable roster spots from players who would love to be part of the team and part of the Ripcurl lacrosse family. Therefore, if you cannot make the commitment to be there, please do not tryout.

What is the financial commitment for a spot on the travel team?

Club Fees cover the following expenses:  Uniform, Insurance, Facility Rentals, Equipment, Coaches Stipend, Web Site Fees, Administrative Costs, College Recruiting Assistance (Can cost upwards of $1400 per player at other clubs), Goalie Sessions, Instructional Sessions, Guest Clinicians, and College Night Speakers.

Why does my daughter need a membership to US Lacrosse to play club ball?

All PLAYERS on ALL Teams must be USLacrosse members.  Your membership provides exclusive on-the-field coverage for all US Lacrosse members through their partnership with Bollinger Insurance.  Insurance is important for the safety and liability of all players, coaches, officials and program administrators and it is often a prerequisite to using fields or facilities. General Liability, Excess Liability, and Accident Medical and Catastrophic Medical insurance is a benefit for each Player member of US Lacrosse for the term and category of their membership.  Even better, you also receive free monthly subscription to the AMAZING USLacrosse magazine AND have access to many great lacrosse resources with your membership!
