Frequently Asked Questions

What is the time commitment?

Lacrosse is a team sport.  To be fair to other teammates and ensure team development, player attendance is required at all events. Please speak with the coach if you have a conflict with a scheduled game or practice.  Do not try out for a travel team if you are not able to commit to the season.  Our developmental rec teams are available for those looking for a more flexible schedule.  

What is the financial commitment?

Registration Fees cover the following expenses: uniform, insurance, facility rentals, training equipment, coaches stipend, administrative costs, and college recruiting assistance for high school players.  Players will be responsible for their personal equipment (stick, footwear, appropriate safety gear) and travel expenses.  Travel team members need a US Lacrosse membership to play club ball.  Visit our gear page to learn more!

Why do we need a membership to US Lacrosse?

All players on all teams must be US Lacrosse members (this does not apply to players registering through KIvity for drop-in sessions). Your membership provides exclusive on-the-field coverage for all US Lacrosse members through their partnership with Bollinger Insurance.  This coverage is important for the safety and liability of all players, coaches, officials, and program administrators.  It is often a prerequisite to using fields or facilities. General Liability, Excess Liability, and Accident Medical and Catastrophic Medical insurance is a benefit for each Player member of US Lacrosse for the term and category of their membership.  Even better, you also receive free monthly subscription to the AMAZING USLacrosse magazine AND have access to many great lacrosse resources with your membership!
